RE:RE:RE:RE:Dividends sometimes need to be introduced for shareholdersHi LetsMake - there is a misconception on this board that the Bombardier plane is equivalent to the Boeing plane that Canada purchased.  AFAIK there is no bomb bay on the Bombardier planes to drop torpedoes.  Not even sure if the hard points could support the Harpoon anti-ship missles that the Boeing plane carries.

I'd rather not have Bombardier try to develop all that for limited sales, frankly.  Money better spent elsewhere I'm sure.

However the roles like the Saab Global Eye are clearly doable and Bombardier should push that as much as possible since this isn't a big development cost, and it's mostly done.

Lastly, note that the US Army is spec'ing Bombardier planes.  Maybe that is a tit-for-tat deal that the two governments came up with for Canada to buy the Boeing planes.  And I'm ok with that too.
