Big News Out!Hi Everyone,
We have a press release out today announcing the identification of a new gold-in-soil anomaly at the Mombaque porphyry target where we recently identified porphyry-style gold mineralization. The Mombaque target is located 1.6 kilometres east of the Maria Bonita porphyry gold discovery where drilling earlier this year returned numerous excellent drill results including 146m @ 1g/t gold. Mike´s comments are as follows 1. The identification of a new gold-in-soil anomaly at Mombaque is highly encouraging, particularly given that it is coincident with a strong and deep-seated magnetic anomaly and highly altered and mineralized porphyritic rocks on surface 2. Whilst the extent of the porphyry-style gold mineralization and the size of the mineralized system at Maria Bonita still has to be determined, it is fast becoming apparent that porphyry-style mineralization is widespread throughout the Cajueiro project area and the project area may contain a series of mineralized porphyry-style systems which could be the primary source of the alluvial gold worked historically from the streams in the 15 kilometer east-west area between Novo Sonhos and Sossego 3. We believe that Mombaque is less eroded than Maria Bonita and that most of the porphyry system at Mombaque may be preserved at depth. As yet, we are not sure whether it is a different porphyry system or part of the Maria Bonia porphyry system. Either way, the identification of porphyry-style mineralization with a coincident gold-in-soil anomaly at Mombaque is very positive and suggests the presence of a major new district. The Mombaque target is an obvious priority drill target 4. Porphyry-style deposits usually occur in clusters and ongoing fieldwork has identified additional priority targets particularly to the north of the existing Cajueiro mineral resource. Further work is planned Please do not hesitate to contact mike directly should you have any questions on this press release. Please not that Mike will also be attending the 121 Mining Investment conference in New York next week on October 21 and 22, so if any of you would like to meet in person please reach out to Mike directly. Best regards, Altamira Gold Team
