Today is the final day of our Microsoft SMC Americas Sales & Tech Summit. I want to highlight one last organization as part of our AmericasAIInnovation series. They are using technology to address challenges in healthcare - an industry that I believe helps form the backbone of a community and country and provides essential services that can improve quality of life, as well as save it.

This is not the first time I have shared WELL Health Technologies Corp. (TSX: WELL)'s story, and it probably will not be the last because when we think of innovation in healthcare, look no further than this Toronto and Vancouver-based company.

We continue to see headlines about doctor shortages, practitioner burnout, the inefficiencies and frustrations with forms, filings, insurance claims, etc.  Well Health is confronting healthcare challenges head-on to address these issues and innovate on disease diagnostics. And it is doing it with the help of Microsoft Azure and AI.

WELL Health’s technology platform touches at least one-third of providers in Canada, freeing up valuable time for them to focus on the quality care that patients need.  We asked the team at Well to share more about how they are improving healthcare using their innovative solutions. Check out the video below that features insights from Hamed Shahbazi
. Eva Fong, FCCA, CPA, CGA
, Shane Sabatino, and Amir Javidan.

One example, streamlining documentation and administrative tasks, is driving incredible impact.   Amir notes that WELL AI Voice, which leverages Azure OpenAI, saves healthcare providers 3.4 minutes on average per encounter, which adds up to two hours a day.  Imagine what a physician, nurse, and other practitioner could do with two more hours in a day!

WELL Health is not only focused on reducing time spent on mundane tasks so providers can focus on what they do best- drive impactful healthcare outcomes for their patients- but they also share our unwavering commitment to privacy and security. We are proud to be working in lockstep with Well Health to ensure solutions like WELL AI Voice are safe, secure, and reliable.

There are numerous other ways WELL Health is investing in Azure and AI technology as part of their growth strategy, and in ways that will accelerate the quality and care of patients. This could have easily been a twenty-minute video sharing incredible innovations!

Thank you to the WELL Health team for sharing your story and for your partnership as you continue to drive innovation in the healthcare industry and enable physicians to provide quality care and improve patient outcomes. As a Canadian who has benefited from quality care and diagnosis, your work is both inspiring and deeply appreciated!
