RE:RE:RE:VoltaExplore pause may be a blessing...s2000duck,
Yes. I am quite aware of the accomplishements and also the not as yet completed goals of companies such as Solid Power, Group14 and StoreDot, Sila Nanotechnolgies,Amprius Technologies Inc., Factorial, QuantumScape -Solidion Technology Inc.
By the way, Solidion Technology was formerly known as Honeycomb Battery Company; see Dr. Bor Z. Jang, pioneer in graphene technology; world's first to discover graphene in 2002 and recognized as the worlds #1 graphene inventor with >300 graphene-related U.S. patents and patent applications + numerous international patents.
I did initially understand your point and I believe we agreed that NanoXplore pursuing the VoltaXplore 2GWh manfacturing facility build was always more of a pipe dream, so to speak, or perhaps more to the point, a baited hook for the larger battery chemistries and battery cells development and battery cells manufacturing industry players (very large game fish) to consider taking a bite of whilst NanoXplore dangled such a downstream investment vehicle lure - we note Martinrea Intrnational took it's $10 Million worth of NanoXplore shares and gave up it's half ownership of VoltaXplore.
Apparently, when they all came to understand that NanoXplore representatives actually wanted a battery cells manufacturing partner and it's OEM customer and partner to do all the remaning heavy lifting, so to speak, no "big game" fish elected to bite at and swallow the VoltaXplore lure .
What I simply won't understand is that Soroush Nazarpour clearly stated NanoXplore representatives, on behalf of it's now wholly owned VoltaXplore investment enterprise vehicle, did in fact previously lock down commitments totaling $350 Million in capital for what was at the time a $500 Million capital investment requiring 2GWh battery facility build.
We all have to ask what in hades happened to that $350 Million in locked down capital commitments and why in hades didn't Soroush Nazarpour & Co provide such would be capital provisioners (capital investors, provisioners of government funded grants and loans, etc.) an alternative more NanoXplore specific 5 year strategic business development plan initiative towards which such capital supporters (with $350 Million burning a hole in their pockets) could direct their respective capital investment and efforts into supporting?
I would have rounded up those would be provisioning $350 Million worth of capital kind and quality of lenders/investor/partners and proposed for them that they and NanoXplore take a run at building out a 42,000 tpa capacity proprietary solid state performance attributes enabling "SiGTM" anode additive enhanced anode components manufacturing facility.
Heck, I'd bring in an existing conventional and specifically "mechanical" CSPG anode material manufacturing process employing corporation for the production of the traditional CSPG anode component material manufacturing. It would have to be a company that already mines graphite and would be an integrated graphite miner producing anywhere from 20 tpa to 40 tpa of long proven CSPG anode component material going forward.
With $350 Million in capital firepower, NanoXplore and it's capital provisioning lenders/partners can seek to consolidate all the corporate pieces/assets required.
Then again, all this would be for not if NanoXplore representatives just can't secure the prerequisite "binding" and therfore bonafide and bankable various anode components offtake purchase agreements needed to begin with.
You stated "Maybe the time and investment to build a battery plant would not offer the same ROI to ANRG as would licensing IP to others if such IP has a place in the next wave...freeing resources to invest in other material and product development pipelines.."
"Offer the same ROI to ANRG you said? What's ANRG?
Anywho, I have always thought the time and capital investment to build a 2GWh capacity battery plant would not offer the same ROI as would licensing the relevant IP to others.
I am going to stop here because I sense my blood pressure is likely beginning to climb and I could begin to say something that would ultimately influence my losing most of my monies invested here with NanoXplore.
If I had to feel anything about the VoltaXplore 2GWh money pit endeavor, I would likely feel that Mr. Soroush Nazarpour & Co quite intentionally suckered in many NanoXplore investors, obviously including myself, withall that VoltaXplore 2GWh graphene enhanced battery maufacturing facility build shtick, a.k.a. that quite intentional baited hook and lure casting.
