SPL dive

SPL diveCertainly quite a drop in stock price,  one that does not clearly have a reason or logic ( assuming analyst expectations are correct).   Brookfield if they were accumulating shares ( they bought about 6.6million shares in early 2023) would that not be driving the price up?

Given that this is a small cap stock, most ownership is institutional my hunch is that somebody started  selling for any of a million reasons.....maybe tax loss selling.   Once the ball gets rolling, and the margin calls come in then selling begets more selling.   Looking back at the charts there were at least two significant sp drops....2020 ( covid ) and then around 2012 ( ? reason).

My hope ( and prayer) is that the stock will soon recover following a similar trajectory as 2020 or 2012.   My hunch is that we will never be the wiser as to what lead to all this.
