RE:huhObviously nobody is as smart as you Slew, but we try.  With my very few and compromised brain cells I look at it this way---Barrick is vulnerable politically in many of it's mining jurisdictions and they have openly stated that they are looking for assets in Canada, so yes New Gold is small for Barrick but the mines are in Canada which is a bad country under Justin the feminist Trudeau, but another right wing person will be elected soon and we'll all be ok.  Barrick would look at the potential, not present situataion and it's in a stable country, sort of stable.  IMO
