Its Shaunavon resource play is located in southwest Saskatchewan. The Viewfield Bakken light oil pool is located in Saskatchewan.

I think Eric could have also been on the short side for the day.. watching the algos take over and play the swing.. he's got enough stock and personell to do just that.. strip some short profits and get back in late in the day..
On another note VRN is trading 15 cents higher than the close state side tonight.. positive for tomorrow.. I'm willing to bet it will be.. ;-)
