If the price stayed this low long enough for me to get to 5K shares, it would be a little over 5%, but that would only be if my net worth stayed the same. Fortunately, i get paid in USD (I say fortunately only by comparison to the CAD, i have 5% in gold already and my dividend earnings are used to buy either PHYS or actual physical gold). In the past, i made the mistake of buying canadian energy stocks on margin, which has cost me performance in the portion of my portfolio i allocate to energy, but only because i was forced to sell at the wrong time(s). Now that i am 5-7 years from retirement, i dont have the luxury of taking that kind of risk anymore! Betting against climate change nazis, however, IS a risk i am still willing to take (up to a threshold anyway).
