Starting with a single depanneur, Bouchard didn't get to where he is by organic growth alone.  Bold but prudent acquisitions are his forte.
But you are quite right that uncertainty around the deal is choking the s/p.
I suspect it will continue for a few more weeks as the team will not be returning to Japan until mid December.  As long as ATD has the backing of the CDPQ I believe the chances of success remain at 50/50 despite all the impediments the Japanese are throwing up.
Meanwhile I have freed up some dry powder in anticipation of some wild markets next week.
