Expansion of Pine Cove Mill

Expansion of Pine Cove Mill

As I stated earlier, Firefky is almost certain to consolidate its 1.5 mills at Nuggett Pond to Point Rousse , updating them in the process.

Recall that the gold circuit owned by Maritime at Its 50% ownership of the 700 tpd Nuggett Pond mill is located within an active copper processing and tailings storage complex currently operated by Rambler.

The comminution circuit of that smaller mill is owned by Firefly.

However, it is quite feasible to configure  the Nugget Pond gold circuit and copper concentrator to operate both concurrently and independently without any impact on Fireflys   operations at Nuggett Pond.
That is, when Firefly consolidates its Nuggett Pond milling operations to Point Rousse , automatically that will include Maritime's milling operations .

Both will then have 2000 tpd milling operations at Point Rousse, probably fully integrated for alternative switching in response to metal pricing.

In fact , as Maritime has a gravity separator at the Pine Cove mill, it would be able to replicate Queensway ore two stage milling operation....gravity separation followed by CIL milling.

In such an arrangement, it becomes much easier to increase milling capacity at very low costs.
