RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:I'm pleased to announce that after the news release.WOW! You've got everything wrong that you possibly could. First, I've invested over the course of about 17 years, not all in in one fell swoop. Second, dollar cost averaging is a very simple concept that you should understand. For example I bought 900K shares @ 3.5 cents. That brings my "average unit cost way down, and as I said my average cost is 9.3 cents. So lets say that my investment has been on "average" the full amount of my current investement for half of the time, Ie: about 8.5 years at my full investmment value. It would take an average return of of 8.5% to double my money over that many years. If the price goes to 40 cents, my return is 50.8% per year, you still think I'm losong big time? This assumes something happens in the next six months. There's no guarantees. But your logic that I'm losing money is completely wrong. Right now if nothing changes and I was to sell, I'd be underwater, but I'm riding this investment come hell or high water. If the worst case happens, it won't change my life or lifestyle, because I don't have a significant portion of my investments, (less than 10%), invested in Bone.
Your second premise is also wrong. The non-registered shares I sold were the pre-and post consolidation PP shares. They had/have an average price of 9.5 cents, so I triggered a capital loss of 3 cents per share or about $40K. I now have these shares in my TFSA at 6.5 cents. The benefit of selling and realizing the loss is that I could trigger capital gains on some other investments. So my tax loss on the Bone shares zero out my tax liability on the majority of my other capital gain.
By moving 1.6M shares into my TFSA, (I had moved 300K in June), I've eliminated any tax consequence on these shares. At a $.40 price, this means that had I not done so and assuming I sold all 1.6M in the sames tax year, I'd have a tax bill of approx.$160K assuming I only have to pay tax on one half of my capital gain. I've already exhausted my lifetime personal capital gain eligibility, so making this move will be extremely beneficial to me if Bone goes up in price.
I'm really sensing that you're not really grasping what I'm expaining to you so I'll quit here.
