It's a small world

It's a small worldThe list of attorneys representing the plaintiff in Tilray's latest lawsuit is rather impressive -  the details are available on Tilray's website. Kaskela Law might ring a bell, they successfully sued Tilray's former CEO Brendan Kennedy. Tilray's general counsel, Mitchell Gendel will no doubt be providing a vigorous defense against this dream team.

A quick search reveals that Mitchell was the legal beagle for MDC Partners (now Stagwell) when the CEO was investigated by the SEC and subsequently turfed without severence after paying back $12 million. Irwin Simon was a member of MDC's board during that time, and continues to serve on Stagwell's board.
