RE:RE:RE:Only in Castreaus woke Canada could this happen

RE:RE:RE:Only in Castreaus woke Canada could this happenSorry, I don't buy it. I have come across members of this type of group in my town and what they are doing is using the Legion as a shield to gain some legitimacy. Some are just tough guy wannabes. The Hell's Angels put on a toy run every december...they don't fool me either.

The Legion does in fact sell a leather vest (on page 21 of their catalogue)
https://portal.legion.ca/docs/default-source/branch-and-command-resources/supply/catalogue_e.pdf
It's NOT what the guys in the picture are wearing and certainly NOT what I have seen with my own eyes locally.

Only active members are allowed to wear the uniform at the ceremony. Even the real Legion vest sold by the Legion is NOT a uniform. What I see around here from this type of peole is costume wearing...one that emulates/promotes the biker gang mentality. Maybe the directive from that school board should have been no costume wearing at the ceremony!
You got your opinion I got mine.

The link you provided and picture are veterans wearing the Canadian Legion vest. The vests have various patches from unit served, deployments, other military patches (such as jump wings, legion branch) You don't need to be a biker to buy the vest  just need to belong to the legion of your area and in good standing when you left the military.

I know many vets that have the vest and not one belongs to a gang nor do they pretend to do so. The vest is a symbol of their service and brotherhood as seen by the medals on those vests.

As for the uniform once one leaves the military they are no longer allowed to wear the uniform. As a veteran myself I would recommend doing some research befor posting on topics you seem not understand.
