RE:news

RE:newsIt is a process - we have come further than in any time in the last 12 years. Next must be to communicate with and to the people of San Juan and take their concerns serious. It is clear there will be no project withput their agreement, but there will also be no or only limited local development without the mine. The people of San Juan, will have the final decision about their future, but in a world that is changing fast and where being able to mitigate impacts of climate change and ensure social resilience are key challenges for little Andean towns like San Juan, the opportunities this project offers to address these challenges at the local level will hopefully not be lost in political games to find reasons for sterring up the next political unrest and chaos. It is in the hands of the community of San Juan and it is a responsibility of Giulio and Fortescue to support the community in finding the right decision for themselves. GLTA
