I'm betting on the former.
I think topline is going to be awful and as a result bottom line got measurably worse. They naturally don't want to speak to it because that would be just hard and maybe they already know there isn't any analyst interest so why bother.
The more I think about it, especially in combo with Strachan's new venture, the more I think it was an ouster and this board shift is just to save face and money for both parties involved. Strachan has a ton of equity and if he decided to not go silently into the night, he could have upset a whole bunch of things including the M&A fetish by causing other parties to think that all is not well at the homestead and by milking the limited treasury more. Think about it, if they package him out, it ain't going to be cheap, and that handcuffs Pidduck with the limited pennies he has available to go off and buy people. So why not just agree for everyones sake to shuffle off to the Board, make a bit more money for free and move on apart. I think this has been in the works for a good long time and that by itself explains why topline has been a mess. The guy who was supposed to be worried about it was more worried about turning sheet into jet fuel. lol.
