RE:FNNND Engaged in all Stages of the Eagle Mine
RE:FNNND Engaged in all Stages of the Eagle Mine Wow! That is quite a damning report. I would sure like to see Victoria Gold's Engineer of Record response. Engineer's do not generally contradict one another (professional courtesy and all that), but if they don't, the blame is squarely on mine management. I suppose Water Management is also possibly culpable as they seemed to be aware of the design short comings.
When the mine was first permitted, I remember JM stating that he had First Nation's approval. I remembe this because it was in the wake of Prosperity Gold's rejection due to FN concerns. But as I read the report it seems that FN concerns were never addressed.
It sure seems that a disaster at the mine was an inevidible eventuality as they never had enough capacity to deal with the cyanide except under "normal" conditions.
