RE:The FactYes, true.
Still, I have listened to many many podcasts of experts in this space, including generalist investment professionals who have become experts in this resource sector, such as Lawrence Lepard, and the undeniable fact is that the stocks of this universe of resource exploration and development companies, and producers, too, are the most undervalued they have ever been in history.
Meanwhile, the AMERICAN general stock market is MORE over valued than at anytime in history, all while the Western world has humongous problems which have been ignored for decades, and now must be addressed, and will be addressed by the Trump administration.
The markets (USD in particular) have rallied hard anticipating Trumps reelection, and have shown that the world has gained confidence in the USD, now that serious leadership will be in charge of the US, rather than the Leftist clown car of Kamala thru Obama / Hilary.
This has also pushed down gold prices.
But, the thesis of gold being the ascendant 'safe haven' investment category (Bonds of insolvent Western nations with HUGE debt burdens now greatly tarnished) is still intact, as we will still have buge challenges ahead as the Trump administration guides the ship of state through these Stormy seas.
So, gold may well take a breather for some time, as I suspect the world is going to be surprised by a revelation of shock and awe as to the bold action the Trump adm will reveal.
But, gold, I think, has still embarked upon an upward revaluation, and this is supported by much of the world outside the walking wounded nations of the West, just beginning to wake up to the reality that they are govts on the verge of bankruptcy.
If gold is in this revaluation, then the stocks of companies with gold in the ground, with assets ( or soon to be proven assets) selling at prices of a few
pennies on the dollar, will be recognized as being extremely undervalued, and revised accordingly.
My view is that the general stock market is so over valued, that you can't invest in it. The expected return over the years ahead will highly likely be negative.
However, these resource stocks in this deeply undervalued sector will be a safe haven. You need to pick the winners...no easy task....but they are literally selling for pennies...a few pennies....on the dollar.
