RE:RE:Future projectionsHard to understand why the short shares wouldn't have decreased substantially over the past week or 2. Shorting a share when it is at multi-year lows is asking for trouble, IMHO.
Agree with managment or not, they are privy to information that we are not. One would hope that they have the best interest of the company at the forefront. By reducing personnel, reducing opex, reducing capex, earnings will increase. Since the Canadian market is limited, and investing in capex is foolish under the current government, entering into the NW US where competition is less should position BCE for future expansion. Maybe this is why managment has stated that the dividend will not increase, but stay essentially the same for 2025???
Here in Western Canada, we have Telus or Rogers (Shaw is gone). I renew in the next couple of weeks so it will be interesting what Rogers willl offer now that they have taken Shaw out (they did tell the goverment that prices would no increase lol). I may have to go the IPTV route. My only issue is PVR/DVR! Wonder why Bell doesn't bother with us, except cell phone service?? I will hold for now to see how this plays ouit, as I do think Bell is oversold, and the dividend is good for the time being.
