Your "truth" is missing a few data points:

"Mr. Simon’s US$19.46-million in compensation for the year ended May 31 comes after a pay package of US$13.68-million in the prior year. That included a cash bonus of more than US$13-million in July, 2021, US$10-million of which was a “Tilray transformation bonus” paid because he agreed to stay with the merged company as CEO. Mr. Simon made $18.63-million at Aphria in the year ended May 31, 2020."
