OCG Continues to Intercept High-Grade Silver at La YeExploration Update: Outcrop Silver & Gold (OCG.v OCGSF) Continues to Intercept High-Grade Silver at La Ye Discovery
Today, Outcrop Silver & Gold (OCG.v OCGSF) provided an update on exploration drilling at the La Ye vein target within its 100% owned Santa Ana High-Grade Primary Silver Project.
Notably, ongoing drilling continues to return encouraging high-grade results, including the discovery of additional non-outcropping veins.
Drilling Highlights
- La Ye North Vein: Intercepted 0.96 metres at 628 g/t AgEq.
- Initial Discovery: Intercepted 0.60 metres at 1,136 g/t AgEq (October 8, 2024, update).
- Parallel Veins Confirmed: Multiple parallel and non-outcropping veins identified, similar to the Aguilar system
- Expansion to Los Mangos: Drilling commenced 8 km south of Las Maras and 4 km south of Aguilar and La Ye discoveries.
Project Objective
- Evaluate potential concealed veins.
- Confirm mineralization depth.
- Explore vein continuity along the strike.
La Ye Vein Geological Features
- High-grade silver-gold vein system
- Strike Length: Verified at 350 metres, with potential extension to 500 metres.
- Surface Sampling: High assays up to 2,553 g/t AgEq.
- Key Intercepts: 0.60 metres at 1,136 g/t AgEq, DH405: 0.96 metres at 628 g/t AgEq and 0.30 metres at 970 g/t AgEq.
- Strategic Importance: Runs parallel to the Aguilar vein, hinting at undiscovered veins.
- Exploration Focus: Step-out and detailed drilling to confirm high-grade continuity alongside resource growth through systematic exploration.
Representing a pivotal expansion in the company's exploration strategy, OCG has additionally commenced drilling at the highly prospective Los Mangos target which marks the most substantial step-out from the existing Mineral Resource area to date.
Los Mangos Target
- Location: Approximately 8 km south of Las Maras resource vein.
- Significance: Represents the furthest step-out from the initial Mineral Resource. High-priority zone with potential for high-grade mineralization.
- Strategy: Explore the 17 km drill-permitted area within a 30 km mineralized corridor.
- Collaborative Efforts: Milestone was made possible by collaborative efforts of social and environmental teams engaged with the local community.
Notably, La Ye is emerging as a cornerstone of the Santa Ana project and OCG's integrated exploration strategy supports significant resource expansion potential. With Los Mangos drilling representing a transformative step in unlocking district-wide mineralization, OCG is committed to systematically advancing high-priority targets, positioning Santa Ana for transformative resource growth by unlocking the untapped potential of these promising new zones.
