Former NRC Director Elected Nisga’a Lisims Government Chair Nations Royalty Corp. (Ticker: NRC.v or NRYCF for US investors) is a pioneering royalty company dedicated to uniting First Nations and Indigenous groups across Canada under a shared vision of economic reconciliation.
By combining royalties, income streams, and benefit payment entitlements from major resource projects, the company enables Indigenous communities to participate in the value and growth potential of publicly traded royalty companies.
Nations Royalty is working to become a top-first royalty company. It currently controls a portfolio of five annual benefit payment entitlements tied to prominent resource assets on Nisga’a Nation Land in the prolific Golden Triangle.
As its largest shareholder, the Nisga’a Nation plays a pivotal role in the development and governance of Nations Royalty.
This collaboration reflects the company’s commitment to integrating Indigenous voices at all levels of decision-making. Through this partnership, Nations Royalty aims to honor the Nisga’a Nation’s vision of sustainable resource development while creating long-term value for Indigenous communities.
The partnership is further strengthened by direct representation on the company’s Board of Directors, ensuring alignment between Nations Royalty’s objectives and the priorities of the Nisga’a Nation.
Today, Nations Royalty congratulated former director Debra Febril on her election as Chair of the Nisga’a Lisims Government (NLG). Due to her new role, Debra has resigned from her position on the company’s Board of Directors.
CEO Robert McLeod highlighted that the company "looks forward to continuing to work with Debra in her new role as NLG Chair.”
Nations Royalty is actively collaborating with NLG to nominate replacement directors, with announcements expected soon.
