I figured that after his ordeal with the U.S. powers that be, Marty Armstrong would have liked to keep a low profile whilst fully cooperating.
I guess it's the case that ole Marty is not above allowing himself to be employed as a useful idiot at this stage.
Anybody that suggests
"Putin has been pleading with West for its very existence – but the answer is always NO." is understood to have been compromized to the point where he must now play the part of the useful idiot.
