RE:RE:RE:RE:new 25% tariffs for imports from Canada and Mexico to USA lol indeed.

The only provinces that receive equalization payments that are above their "own source fiscal capacity" are: MN, QC, NB, NS, PE.  Plus territories.  So, you're correct in stating "East", but I get the feeling you're including ON.  Which is most definitely factually incorrect.  ON has never received above their "own source fiscal capacity".  Every other province has.  Oil is cyclical. That's just the way it is.  Thankfully it doesn't crash often. Anyhoo, yeah, you should move to Montana and live your dreams of being a non-Canadian.  Why would you live in such a horrible and confined situation that you hate, when you have the choice not to???  I've always been more than happy to distribute my tax dollars to other provinces.  Seems fair, share the wealth to keep what we have as a whole. But I've been lucky to have seen a lot of the other provinces from coast-to-coast, and meet the people along the way, while others don't get out much.  Others, like yourself, obviously not so fond of the sharing model. Greed when the times are good, begging and complaining when times are bad, yeah?  Cool, cool. With both Nenshi and Smith tied in popularity, it'll obviously be interesting times ahead to see which half of Albertans will be happy/mad.  With family on both sides, it can be annoying.  Thankfully they're all, like most, level headed and can accept a real democratic outcome regardless if not their preference.  I can't even imagine being so intolerant of the outcome of a democratic election process to actually conjure a belief in a rigged election, or have an ingrained hate towards anonymous fellow-countrymen/women because they voted differently than I. Sad. Who knew Idiocracy was prophetic?
