Look back at all the historical highs in this stock then ask yourself how those highs showed up.  Next go back and reconsider your question.

"How" would Canopy keep the SP from going up ?

The company does not set the price of shares that are trading in the market. If the majority of shares start being held by those who expect more later then the price will start going up. The opposite is true as well, if shareholders expect less than any upward movement is dampened or the price goes down.

I'm not convinced most shareholders are trading on research, it's likely more emotion than anything
