One catch. Only if the deal or transaction if u will, is over $32M. That's why when these funds do deals they are always over $32M. The rich keep getting richer.

I have the same experience with the rich I deal with. They're big tax contributors and they are happy to do it. This just means that they are successful. The problem I have is with the huge Pension Funds. They have huge tax rebates. They don't even pay land tranfer tax in RE transactions. Why? I don't understand the reason. They're uber wealthy.

Why don't you just buy a Trump Bible made in China, and just pray that Trump doesn't prey on those god fearing religeous Americans that elected him in office. We're just fine here in Canada. We'll get rid of our idiot. See what the wrong Immigration does to countries. This Fentanyl issue is kiling the US people. Yet we/they need the Immigration for workers, to make our country grow. We all need the right Immigration. Not the wealthy. we need the tradesmen, or the people (families) that need to work to feed their families.
859, are you suggesting the wealthy don't pay income taxes? I also believe we need harsh prison sentences like the US for not paying taxes and working under the table
In my experience its the rich that pay the most in taxes, maybe not %, but in pure $. Its the trademen that is out building decks, bathroom renos for cash and not declaring the income. I'll admit I am guilty of asking for a cash discount if I can, but in the past few years I have indeed pushed for a receipt and then I fill out the paperwork to notify CRA of the payment
859, can you explain your pension funds comment. I did speak to my accountant on land transfer taxes (which I completely disagree with btw), wealthy avoiding them is rare as most don't buy the corporations that own the individual real estate. I do forget the details thou
859, since land transfer taxes exist in every province (I think) are we talking about every province or only Ontario and Quebec. I don't think they are exempt in BC (I didn't see anything in a 5 minute search so could be wrong)
Regardless anyone with a public pension I wouldn't describe as "rich" which is who pretty much the pensions funds are owned by/work for
What I love are those public pension funds are for union members, but the pension funds hire non union companies to build/renovate their buildings. Don't they want to support their fellow union members? I guess not
