Gold Grade Sampling outcomes..channel , Bulk Under estimate
This is an excellent exposition of sampling theory as applied to estimating gold grades in a coarse grain environment such as QWN.
Examples are provided for several gold mines.
Once again, both bulk and channel gold grades substantively under estimated head grades upon entering the mill to be processed.
In view of these analytical estimates of potential biasses in Channel sampling , such as we now have in Keats Trench grades,it is worth noting that in any comparisons that I have made or seen by others , no other gold deposit comes close to the many ultra high grade intercepts, measured in gram meters, as QWN.
It is remarkable , in such a coarse gold vein based environment with inherent heterogeneity, that such long intercepts often displaying 3 or more ounces per ton ,are on record from the QWN data base.
I recall the GGG has compiled a list of 100 or more of these remarkable intercepts .
Summary
QWN is a world class gold discovery in the early stages of defining a new world class gold district , possibly exceeding anything yet seen in Canada, including Abitibi in its entirety.
