RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Potential revenues 17 billion$Ya I get it. A plant in the US is a smart idea, but it's capapcity we already have here in Canada. So to invest even $200M for that? I don't know if it would be such a good investment. The Trump nightmare will disipate by 2028 I'm sure.

They also have the old Learjet facility and the emloyees there from Spirit Aerostructures. Boeing have lots of facilities there also. So maybe pluck some out of both of them. So there will be plenty of employees to pick from that they've layed off too.

I also think that they should not go all out on spending too much money there. There is enough capacity between pearson and St. Laurent Quebec to produce 150 to 200 planes right now. So do we need the extra capacity? No? But this Trump Tariffs and any other Presidents craziness, can be solved with a US plant.

Ideally. They get their Military side up & running in the US, and expand the manufacturing & some of the assembly there for their new BJ's, to avoid this crazy Trump tantrums, and these Boeing crybaby complaints. The investment though can't be in the Pearson cost range. We can't take the Investment cost for a huge facility just to stop the craziness either. If they invest in Witchita? Then I say no more than $100M for the new or remodelled facility. Hire the ex-Lear guys first that they fired, then the Spirit/Boeing guys.

This company just does a monumental deal for their company, yet they haven't even made any details available to their shareholders. Their PR is garbage

the $17 Billion is potential revenue for Honeywell.  No idea what BBD's potential revenue from the agreement is unknown

as for your comment. all due respect but I mean come on just because the Honeywell CEO was born in India and the Adani CEO is from India.  Thats like an American saying "Hey you're from Canada, do you know Bob?"

859, I am not disagreeing, but the news came late in the day today so I am hoping they will shed some light on potenial long term positives for BBD tomorrow and even hopefully how much cash the company will receive.  I am hoping the cash goes straight on the long term debt.

We need some news to take the focus away from Trump and the tariffs.  I am feeling more and more positive that it won't affect BBD.  You do see my point about building a new factory in the US to replace Ireland.  17,000 recently laid off workers from Boeing so there are a lots of potential skilled workers in the USA

859, I really don't care where in the plant could be located nor do I know if BBD already owns land to expand onto in Witchita.  Obviously if they do that would make complete sense and as you point out Witchita is a aerospace manufacturing hub with Boeing and Spirit having plants there

I would have no idea what a plant would cost to replace Belfast would cost, but I will take a guess at 200M.  To me the plant is there to build fuselages and wings.  I suppose maybe it would put some "finishing touches" on planes already built in Canada too

All I know is we need to something to appease Trump and find a solution to Belfast, I think a US plant two birds with one stone solution
