RE:4 Dill holes hit Copper. …. and Ni this is getting Big !!This looks to be an interesting discovery. However, I am keeping my money where it is. The importance of the Mokopane Feeder exploration will be revealed in the coming months. This is considered to be a major feeder zone into the largest instrusive system identified in the world to date, one that has provided many economic ore bodies. Just think of the mineral laden slush coming up that pipe for millennia, mixing with host rocks and undergoing redox chemistry, then dropping concentrated metal sulfides into nooks and crannies measured in dimensions of hundreds if not thousands of meters.
The Mokopane Feeder zone could hold ore bodies that surpass anything the world has seen before. Think of Big Zinc at Kipushi, then imagine Big Nickel, Big Copper, Big Everything. I may be dreaming big, but that large gravity signature is definitely not imaginary, it has to be caused by rock density differences and I am sure that the multiple world class targets identified by Ivanhoe's advanced geophysical analyses are being tested by advancing drillbits.
Waiting can be hard but we have so much to look forward to. Maybe a Western Forelands update for Christmas. Completion of the smelter construction followed by warm up. Completion of the Inga turbine renovation. Project 95. The Lobito rail corridor. Platreef production starting in 2025. The Western Forelands Cu discoveries we already have require more mines and concentrators to be built. Will Ivanhoe do this alone or in partnership? So many interesting things coming up.
Of course, I can barely move today, being weighed down by so much November copper production. Another cup of tea I think.
