Shell Energy-- no longer to build new offshore windfarms

Shell Energy-- no longer to build new offshore windfarmsSign of things to come? Cost and low margins, but the company will still do offtake agreements on suitable terms.

My guess it will now be more like Amazon, Google doing offtakes. Just wondering about LNG Canada and Shell. Too expensive and (too late) to convert to electricity for Phase One.

Not a perfect solution, but to keep the dream, jobs, tax revenues alive with possible Phase 2, maybe do an offtake with a yet not built wind offshore windfarm. Decision on Phase 2 coming in the new year.

Northland was at one time, involved in the Hecate windfarm proposal.
