FDR and the stress of waiting on successSorry to hear the US market makers might be jerking you around, EatMore. I thought you guys (I assume you’re American) could buy explorer stocks like FDR through the more liquid Canadian Venture Exchange without much regulatory hassle these days. Maybe it depends on your brokerage firm.
On one of your related comments, however, try to keep the bigger picture in mind. Is the FDR market being *temporarily* manipulated by someone painting the tape? Maybe yes, maybe no.
I’m not opposed to conspiracy theories, though I think we tend to believe the system is conspiring against us more than it might in fact be. Speaking from my own experience, anyhow. And if trading spec stocks were easy, everyone would be making a fortune doing it, right?
Not that I’ve ever been in combat, but it could be sort of like the recollections of front-line soldiers who were convinced every single enemy gun was shooting right at them. You may have gotten winged by some shrapnel with your questionable fills Friday, but you’re still fit for action, I hope, right? You’re still buying, so I guess I just answered my own question.
We are in a kind of combat, or at least a gritty, street-level confrontation, in the stock market. “Your money or your life!” - ? There isn’t really much difference, in the broad sense.
In any case, don’t let the collective action of bunch of cold-blooded market pros doing what they always do make you lose heart and sell your shares before you want to. Or until the FDR buyout – whichever comes first.
And remember - anyone who might try to temporarily manipulate a market to somehow accumulate a little more stock is playing a very dangerous game. We don’t need to wonder whether and when the criminal justice system could punish them, because reality might punish them much more quickly… by transferring some of their trading capital into the pockets of honest FDR longs if Founders breaks out higher. And our price chart looks pretty irresistible just now.
Very hard to fight reality and win. Ever. But especially when reality is the fast-growing Antino gold resource. Next assays might arrive before Santa.
In conclusion, I can’t remember the Latin wording, but it’s something like “Don’t let the [illegitmates] grind you down.” Maybe that’s not much comfort when you’ve just been price-gouged, but that’s all I’ve got for you this Sunday.
That and to remind you to get out and take a nice walk today or spend some time in nature somewhere if your climate allows it. I’m no new-age hippie, but the outdoors does seem to help one’s balance a lot.
