RE:RE:Tax loss selling bump in the new year

RE:RE:Tax loss selling bump in the new yearAgreed the Trump effect will have an additional skew to the already hard to predict outcome for a while.. I keep hanging on the fact that demand isn't being erroded and demand for energy is at an all time high and growing leads me to think this slump in the  CDN O&G sector is temporary.. but the trend in this last quarter makes it hard to swallow some days..!

Other than the argument share prices have cratered on some stocks, considering sentiment and looming unpredictability with Trump and Jan 20th inauguration, I see no rush to buy back in early January. Market movers are pushing these stocks down. With momentum on their side, I see tax loss selling rolling into Trump speculation, meaning we see further share price devline or stagnation, without a meaningful rise before the end of January or possibly the  Feb/Mar period.

I have to agree with that thought.. heck could happen before if some of the early sellers get in before the new year.. that could create a short squeeze at the same time..!  IMO
