RE:RE:RE:Is my investement thesis broken ?@frozen There are fundamental ways you can compare Evolv and Xtract.. first and foremost.. advertising and marketing..
it does not matter how much capital a company has the.. principle still remains .. you have to do it at what ever scale you can afford .. but you have to do it..
Evolv simply understood that from the beginning, and they learned the nuances of it as well.. and focused on it..
Evolv may have a lot of money..but they are creative and hustle like they are broke..
Xtract is the polar opposite.. they are actually broke..
but management is as dismissive and arrogant as you would expect a rich company to be..
they completely dismissed marketing all together and just took the spare money to raise salaries..
they have no relationship with investors at all..
Like..im on the xtract mailing list and the Evolv mailing list..
just to see the difference...
and is like night and freakin day..
the detail and attention Evolv puts into community outreach and relations is insane...
they actually have a relationship with shareholders.. communities..
Xtract is so far behind in the actual human relationship aspect of business and it shows..
like xtract might as well be run by robots or something because that's about as cold and lifeless Evans runs that company..
the Evolv ground game is scary good.. and that's not BECAUSE they have money..
Rather that's WHY they have money..
they simply understand PEOPLE...
if you are selling.. you have to know what people respond to..
if you have investors.. you have to value what the peoples concerns are..
if you want institutional investors.. you have to show them that people are demanding your product so there is something of a sense of urgency...
Evans has done none of that..
the market doesn't respond to him, sales clients do not respond to him, retail investors don't respond to him, Institutional investors have not responded to him..
why.. because he has no connection with PEOPLE.. and that's what a CEO is supposed to be.. someone who has mastered people.. to get the desired results for everyone..and accomplish the mission..
that is essential in business.. because that's what marketing is.. it's getting people to respond..
now you can have a superior product.. but if you're not qualified for the position.. it really doesn't matter..
that's the difference between the American CEO and Evans..
personality... expertise in dealing with people..
