RE:RE:RE:Short Positions - Up again

RE:RE:RE:Short Positions - Up againMaybe everybody knows this but I want to point out that shorters sometimes use OUR sshares to do their job. Ages ago I had some shares in a pennystock ( guess it was MSQ ) that I wanted to get rid of, I placed a sell-order and got the answer that de deal was impossible because I had no such shares in my possession. When I asked my broker ( Keytrade ) about that they answered  that some illegal practices could happen in the States or in Canada; a person could loan my shares and use them to short the market. So i.o.w. they used my shares to keep the SP down.
Could this, nowadays,  still happen, eventualy  with Almonty, ?
