I'm sorry you took it as an insult.

I just wanted to point out something I noticed to you. To help you. It's not often that someone on this board dissects your #'s, and comments about clarity, and showing your work, on your posts. I don't even do that. Searching for PERFECTION in some things is just unrealistic. For example, even talking about BoC to you yesterday was tiring. These are time consuming posts. And are draining to check & double check for correctness. People differ in opinions and #'s. Agree to disagree sometimes, and move on. People try to do their best with the time they have here. The ChatGPT comment on $500/share SP was out there from that poster, for todays #. But who's to say that even there, it may happen someday in the future?

The Arithmomania comment of mine was with respect to the #'s we do. YES there is perfection in math. Yes numbers make perfect sense. ON SOME OCCASIONS. There are times that the variables are so many that, that makes it impossible to get the EXACT #. The perfect example with our case is, the EBITDA, FCF, CASH USAGE for PARTS, # of DELIVERIES, etc, at any given Quarter of Bombardiers Financials. Even Bombardier gives a GUIDENCE RANGE for their Financials, because they don't know the exact #, because of the variables for each quarter.

So maybe just maybe, you wanna change your tune on the financial perfection that you're searching for, in Financials. Even their own Guidence could be off with just one variable change in the Quarter. So let's agree to just give eachother what our #'s are and move on. Then wait for the actual #'s. I don't need perfection here. Neither the comments that follow after each post. Perfection just can't be found. Over-assesssment of the #'s isn't required here. We're only just guessing, and so is the company itself and Lets move on. Cheers

 Hey Lets, YMMV.

Just FYI. I now know, that you have Arithmomania. I deduced that by reading all your post responses to my numbers, and even some of your responses to other posters posts. I don't mean it as an insult btw. I find it useless to be precise. Like I said in one of my posts the other day. If I'm close of within $50M with my guess? Then I think it's a pretty good guess. Tomayto Tomahto

BBDB859 wrote: They'll make close $1B for Q4. $700M of that, will go repay their up-fronting of their inventory for the all of 2024. And $300m will be their +FCF. Which I presume they put all of it, or $200M of it, on the LTD in spring of 2025.

Letsmakemoredol wrote: very possible, but it also could be coming in from Q4 FCF.  To meet 2024 guidance they have to deliver +682M to +982M this quarter.  They did +$869M in Q4/23 so easily doable

Well they only used 582M in the first 9 months of this year and considering 2025 deliveries will be roughly equal to 2024 (could be negligibly smaller)  it won't be 700M as you state

Fcf for 2025 is supposed to be 900 to 1000M compared to 100-400M for 2024 so I'm also expecting each quarter to be better next year than this year.

859, it's a discussion board so guess what things get discussed.  Financial predictions are an educated guess yes but precision matters...unless you want to be part of the $500 PT club using chatGPT for your analysis?  Analysts use precision in their calculations.

...and calling me arithmomania I took as an insult.  Like your insulting comment to francophones last week please keep those comments to yourself.  Thank you

859 "to help me" don't worry about me buddy, you know nothing about me.  I enjoy interesting intellectual conversations and investments is one of them so I like batting around numbers on my investments and ultimately when to sell.  As an example, just like when my girlfriend at the time was dealing with a baby born largely with a skull, I was fascinated with how they were dealing with the brain.  Maybe that will help you understand me.  I don't lie awake worried about BBD numbers, worry about 1/2 point cuts in BoC, inflation, Trudeau, immigration and real estate all that you post about here.

If our conversations are tiring, don't worry about it,I am certainly not stressed about it, actually quite the opposite.  I don't expect perfection, and no I don't calcuate FCF, etc to perfection, they are rounded numbers, nor do I hold my PT to the penny.  Personally I have enjoyed our conversations doing analysis on the SP in a fun, casual, friendly conversation way because its fun to learn, much like conversations my neurologist ex-GF.  Cheers
