Hopefuly a concensus builds that this is a bad and opportunistic deal that is
totaly uncessary and expensive. The company is good financial shape and has lots
of shareholder friendly options at it's disposal if it wants to grow or change.

A change of control transaction will probably only benfit managment (with new options in NewCo) and provide Cenovus with $150M off thier tax bill by using Gears Tax Pools.

According to the Yahoo site 8% of shares are held by insiders and about 2% by institutions.
90% of Gear is owned by retail. Everyone on the other side of this skulduggery know this including the brokers advising them. The managment by going about the day to day runinng of things have grown to see iGear as thiers to do with as they wish-- much like the proverbial Un-Just steward.
