VIO Taps Former Osisko Mining Leadership to Drive Growth TODAY: Vior Inc. (VIO.v, VIORF) Taps Former Osisko Mining Leadership to Drive Ambitious Growth Plans
Today, Vior Inc. (VIO.v, VIORF) announced several key changes to its leadership team to support its ambitious growth plans, including the appointment of Mathieu Savard, former Osisko Mining President, as President and CEO.
Pascal Simard, former Vice President of Exploration of Osisko Mining, has been appointed as VIO's Vice President of Exploration, with additional appointments including Don Njegovan, President of Osisko Metals, and Andr Le Bel, Vice President of Osisko Gold Royalties, to the Board.
Outgoing President and CEO Mark Fedosiewich, who has led Vior since 2017 and will transition to Chairman of the Board, commented:
"This proven team has extensive industry experience, a strong track record of exploration success, project development, and creating shareholder value. Individually, each will bring special expertise and, collectively, they will make significant contributions to Vior that will aim to benefit all stakeholders, as the Corporation executes on its ambitious growth plans."
Further, Mathieu Savard, incoming President, CEO and Board member, commented,
"Our team has a significant track record of value creation through several discoveries and the development of two world-class gold deposits in Qubec - first with lonore, and more recently with Windfall. We are eager to generate significant value for shareholders and stakeholders. We are convinced that Belleterre has the potential to become the next great mining story in Canada, as it shares several similarities with the early Windfall district project. It has been overlooked for years and exhibits high-grade gold mineralization at a district scale."
Confirmed High-Grade Gold at Belleterre
This news comes on the heels of VIO announced the first set of assay results from the ongoing 60,000m diamond drill program at its Belleterre Gold Project in Quebec, confirming high-grade gold and a 500m depth extension!
Notably, drilling has revealed significant high-grade gold mineralization at several targets, validating the geological model and expanding the potential for high-grade gold beyond known systems.
Going forward, VIO will accelerate drilling in 2025 with a third rig to expand the high-grade system, extend mineralization vertically and test additional regional high-priority drill targets.
