Nelson St meeting

Nelson St meeting Monday, Mission Council meeting will look at a 104 unit townhouse development for Nelson St.
Polygon is presenting middle market housing.
They do not have the support of the planning department.
They feel it is not compatible with the existing neighborhood.
Describing it as urban sprawl.
The plans are clever, and this will test council. Mission needs units to meet provincial government guidelines.
Polygon is offering an additional million to the community as a bonus.
I suppose the 6 acres could end up as low density detached,  but it does fit provincial initiatives.
We will know more Tuesday.
52 towns would generate 7 to 10 million for Mpc. Over a couple years.
