Global Partnerships Initiative

Global Partnerships Initiative

I have been reading up on this Canadian program that provides matching Canadian grant money for Canadian projects that receive funding from international governments (think US DOD or DOE) or industries (think foreign OEMs).

https://www.canada.ca/en/campaign/critical-minerals-in-canada/federal-support-for-critical-mineral-projects-and-value-chains/global-partnerships-initiative.html

The matching funds can be granted for R&D that "advance new critical minerals production technologies toward commercialization through research partnerships with other countries".

This raises an interesting question. Ucore just got $1.8 Million from the US Department of Defense for R&D at its Kingston demonstration plant, right? Well, logicaly, isn't it eligible for another $1.8 million from the Canadian Global Partnership Initiative?

P.S. It's raining money! Go out and get some!!!
