This is I-80We all know that mentalhead is here to add negative posts to drive the share price lower to short so you can hit ignore or listen to the verbal trash.
For the rest of us,
Theres NO proof that the company is insolvent, but there is proof that Young has an excellent history in Nevada for turning companies around working for Barrick Gold so he knows how majors operate and has sold 2 gold companies for a nice premium for shareholders and these are a fact. Plus why would insiders rush in buying up shares and grant eachother rights to buy shares once the price spikes higher If they had no plan, then why rush in to buy?
Before the selloff the shares were trading at $1.50 with no real plans and a CEO heading into retirement so once Young releases an NR on corporate plans going forward either to sell or have another company come in and buy into I-80 the share price will head back towards $2
The short selling that mentalhead is up to will act like an afterburner pushing the share price twice as high as they scramble to replace shares after NR, I couldn't sleep at night with the possibility of news coming out any day.
I would worry if Young was a furniture salesman but his career is riddled with wins!
This appointment completes the previously announced succession process. Mr. Downie will also step down as a director of the Company and will continue as an advisor to the Company.
Mr. Young brings extensive financial, development and operational experience to i-80, having previously held senior positions at multiple companies, with increasing responsibilities, over the past several decades. He brings strong experience in Nevada including operational positions with Barrick Gold at its Goldstrike Mine, one of the largest gold mines in North America. Richard was the founder and CEO of Teranga Gold Corporation, playing a key role in its transformation from a single asset producer into a successful low-cost, mid-tier gold producer that was ultimately acquired by Endeavour Mining PLC in 2021 for more than C$2.5 billion. Most recently, Mr. Young served as President and CEO of Argonaut Gold which was acquired by Alamos Gold Inc. in July of 2024.
During his career, Mr. Young has been responsible for implementing award-winning sustainability programs and received the 2008 and 2017 PDAC Sustainability Award, and the 2020 UN Global Compact Canada SDG Accelerator Award.
“I am excited to join i-80, owner of the largest gold and silver resource base in the United States, not owned by a senior gold company.
