RE:RE:RE:Packer

RE:RE:RE:PackerAnd your point is what, Dart? A change in the federal government will fis ALL  that???
My only experience with "oil companies chiting on their workers" is I trained a guy to drive an off-road rock truck in 2008. The company paid him 25 bucks an hour. A month later he landed a job driving truck in the oil sands for DOUBLE what we paid him. He left the mild climate of Vancouver Island for the 40 below of Fort Mac and did not feel "chit on" in the least!
If the company you work for is "chiting" on you it sounds like you need a union. That's got nuttin' to do with the federal government...Suncor is unionized, CNRL are not. Unifor represents 15,000 oil patch workers, CUPE 32,700.

I know of TWO youg guys two years out of apprenticeship who, after spending a year working on a power project in SK, came back to town in 2010 and BOTH of them bought 3 bedroom houses...Houses were cheap, interest rates were dirt cheap. Those are the people, along with retirees moving to Vancouver Island that drove up real estate prices. NOT hedge funds, NOT the federal government.
The homeless people you talk about....Are they all from only child families? Do they not have brothers and sisters??? How is it that they end up in the street if not because their own families won't even put up with them anymore. It's a problem alright but finding who/what to blame is very, very complicated.

TAXES??? Federal income tax brackets have not changed at all in at lest ten years.....EXECPT for in 2017 when the rate for the bracket 55k to 111k went DOWN from 22% to 20.5%. If you're paying "more" dollars in taxes it's because you're making more dollars. The federal government's bite has not changed one bit. You have a familly of four??? You are aware that starting in 2016 the CCB started up and began sending families cheques every month, TAX FREE, equal to 6000 bucks per child under 18 per year....TAX FREE!
THAT is something the federal government did....along with several other family targeted policies over time... day care, dental care....I'm not even going to get into how our government took care of people during the pandemic WAY better here than in the US....that's all very well documented.

You're an angry guy....you got caught in a bad economic cycle...."been there, done that" forty five years ago...I survived, you'll survive. Economic cycles come and go. Good luck to ya!

Yup I would have to agree with you the price of houses have gone through the roof and these big corps buy up residential houses at anyprice causing prices to be out of sight for the average family to buy causing people living on the streets at an ever growing number. Yup have to agree with you taxes for the average family have gone up to the point where the average family of four wi worried where they will feed the family. Yup the corporate profits of all those food stores are up hugely while the family of four goes on with one good meal a day while those executives get bonuses. The fools quest will soon be on all those greedy execs, the dark money being pumped into Canadian the housing market. It's not about who is running the country it's about who is going to go after those corp execs, that dark money the dirty pot money. It's about who is going to bring things back in line for the people to live. In my opinion I would not want to be a corp exec or a polititian.
