Bombardier Has Workarounds in Case of US Tariffs Bombardier's management is feeling optimistic about how possible tariffs will affect their business. TD Cowen's Tim James says that management at the Canadian business jet manufacturer recall that aerospace and defense were excluded from tariffs in Trump's previous presidency and he adds that Bombardier also has a strong lobbying capability to deal with the threat. James says Bombardier also thinks that since aerospace and defence between Canada and the US is balanced, this should be in the company's favor. While the outcome won't be certain until Trump takes power, James is "encouraged by the suggested low-risk of US tariffs on bus and jets and/or workarounds." (adriano.marchese@wsj.com)
