CAD is weak and cheap... So borrow CAD. Leverage. Thru IBKR one can borrow at 4.5% or lower. Then you buy a REIT that holds US assets and generates NOI in USD. My two favorites are HR and Artis - HR being the superior investment in every single way other than buybacks... The yield is greater than borrowing cost so you have a positive carry and the underlying is mostly US (in the case of HR)... And ta da... A way to monetize on this econboy's ramblings that are sound, yet lack any actionable conclusion.
