You say: "Look to the US and Trump over the next couple of years" (???) The NRA crowd down there LOVE Trump, idolize him....and what's he done and promises to do more of? Extend tax cuts to billionnaires.....AND cut entitlements / shred the meagre safety net down there to reduce the deficit.
It's going to take WAY more than a couple of years for people to "wise up" I'm thinking. Americans still beleive in "Reaganomics" where if you cut taxes to the rich money will trickle down to the masses. It's been debunked / proven false but people with no money still buy into it. Baffling that is!

A friend of mine has a good analogy about the US: One guy is sitting at a table with a big pile of cookies in front of him....another guy is sitting there with three cookies in front of him....a third guy is sitting there with NO cookies in front of him. The first guy says to the second guy: "Better watch out for that guy with no cookies...he's going to try and rob you of your cookies". While the second guy is focused on the third guy with no cookies the first guy reaches over and grabs/steals one cookie from the second guy....who now only has TWO cookies left! That's the US in a NUTSHELL !!!

Things have changed big time and the people are beginning to rise up. You can only keep takeing and takeing and takeing for so long then it turns on you. History is full of factual data that shows this over and over again. It always ends up with the corupt leaders takeing to much. Look to the U.S. and trump over the next couple of years.
History shows us the people will rise up when they become armed, well in the U.S. everyone is armed. Trump should pay attention to history.
