According to an NT News article, the Independent Expert Scientific Committee (IESC) has advised that the potential impact on Beetaloo Basin water resources from appraisal activities for unconventional gas is considered to be minor, essentially stating that the impact on water resources from initial exploration activities in the region is likely to be minimal.
