My mewsings
Season's Geetings to all you folks,
I am wishing us all wonderful success for 2025!
I am struck by a few situations from my past and how Boron One behaves. I used to be a technical writer in the telecommunications industry during the dot com hey day. It was a lowly profession amongst all the others. They would heap work upon us with tight timelines. We would balk and say "You're going to have to break it down into sub-steps. No one could accomplish every ask in one project." They woulsn't listen to us, of course. However, about a month later, they would always say "We can't make it all for this release. Let's make it a 1.1." This always broke the seal and there was inevitably a 1.1.1 or a 1.1.1.1. Breaking down projects became the culture.
I'm seeing a little bit of this in our situation with Bone. Not so much from our side, but from the Serbs. Their mining laws are definitely updated. But I'm not sure how much actual experience they have at granting licenses. The closer to the end we get, the most steps and sub-steps seem to proliferate.
I am also reminded of the cockroach theory of investing: if you see one bad thing, there is likely a nest of bad things nearby. I believe the actual advice is that if you see one bad thing, then expect there to be at least 3. We've seen a couple of back and forths from the Serbs. I wouldn't be surprised to see at least another.
Be well,
Nobodyfuel.
