Executing on Ambitious Growth Plans w/ Osisko Team Signaling its intent to execute on ambitious growth plans and establish itself as a leader in gold exploration, Vior Inc. (VIO.v, VIORF) has significantly bolstered its leadership team by appointing several high-profile executives from Osisko Mining: https://x.com/StckMasterFlash/status/1867326332541280706
Mathieu Savard, former President of Osisko Mining, has been named President and CEO of Vior, bringing with him a proven track record of spearheading major discoveries like lonore and Windfall in Qubec.
Joining him are Pascal Simard, former Vice President of Exploration at Osisko Mining, who will serve as Vice President of Exploration at Vior, and other key Osisko figures, including Don Njegovan and Andr Le Bel, who will sit on Vior’s Board of Directors. This reshaping of the leadership team reflects Vior's commitment to leveraging the expertise of industry veterans to unlock the full potential of its projects.
The timing of this strategic move aligns with promising developments at Vior’s flagship Belleterre Gold Project in Quebec. Early assay results from a 60,000-meter drill program have confirmed high-grade gold mineralization, along with a depth extension of 500 meters, validating the geological model and expanding the project’s potential.
The new leadership team is poised to capitalize on these results, with plans to accelerate exploration in 2025 by adding a third drill rig to expand the high-grade system and explore new priority targets. With Savard’s assertion that Belleterre shares parallels with the early Windfall district, Vior is well-positioned to transform this overlooked project into Canada’s next major mining success story, driving significant value for shareholders and stakeholders alike.
