Why is Anonymous buying and selling on the Omega Exchange? "Omega ATS is a registered alternative trading system (ATS) in Canada providing direct access to equity trading. It provides market data from the Omega ATS at a flat fee, with one month of historical data available to its customers. It does not provide data from other venues."
"Direct access to equity trading" meaning less rules? That was my first thought. My second thought was, let see what the Goo Gal has to say about this Omega exchange Wow, that was a surprise. Seems like back in 2017, November 14th, the Ontario Securities Commission wanted to shut them down.
“According to recent news, the Ontario Securities Commission (OSC) is attempting to shut down the Omega trading platform, citing concerns about potential breaches of Ontario securities law and a need to protect the public interest by suspending trading on the platform”
Me thinks, OSC might want to have another look see at these folks especially Mr. Anonymous? One question the OSC could answer for we the investors. Why did we spiked to 20 cents last Feb 6th or so? What caused that? Then what has been going on to brings us right back down to that same level?
