You are right, most people don't understand the legal process. Isn't the hearing where this will be discussed instead of concluding that the lack of objection to the hearing means acceptance that the subject of the hearing has no merit? If the latter, as you suggest, why not just drop the issue without wasting anyone's time for the hearing?

Please explain BCONT.
