RE:RE:RE:RE:Here is WHAT is Horribly WRONG with Capital Gain TAXATIONBS....WRONG Seppelt... you are spreading misinformation....Canada is NOT "a simple 50%"....that is factually wrong on its face.....It keeps getting repeated all the time but it's FALSE.
The real, REAL.... is in Canada ONLY 50% of capital gains are subject to tax. The highest income tax bracket is 33%. Are you good at math? The net result is capital gains are actually, in the REAL world, taxed at 11%  to 16% depending on your pre-gains income. (Federal tax only...provinces are all over the map)

A guy who is in "the glass is half full" camp could say that 50% of capital gains in Canada are TAX FREE and he'd be right...but clearly that's not you! Happy new year
