But why did Ladenburg Thalmann and The Big Client put so much time and effort into getting their hands on Bioasis?

zwerp, Bioasis was nothing but xB3, that's it. The play for Bioasis was a play for xB3. You say xB3 failed, is worthless. That is completely inconsistent with the facts...

...and most of the facts are in those 460 pages that admit you will not read.

But I'd like you to state your position a few hundred more times so that your knowledge and biases are well preserved for the ages, for all to see.

You're doing great at that, except for the tiny detail of not knowing enough about Bioasis to discuss this stuff.
